What's included in a mobile full car valet?
It may be easier to list what's not included! Both our Full Valet and Full Valet Plus packages are intended to transform your vehicle, and that's reflected in the level of service and attention to detail offered.
Interior
Rubbish removed
We recommend removing as much rubbish as possible from the vehicle prior to us attending, so we can spend more time on the tasks that benefit from our experience and training.
Interior wet and dry vacuum with shampoo
All seats, carpets and upholstery surfaces (except headliner) are shampooed and wet and dry vacuumed using our Kärcher Puzzi professional spray extraction cleaner. Upholstery will be dry before we leave.
Leather deep clean and feed
If your vehicle has leather upholstery we'll use Autoglym Leather Cleaner and Autoglym Leather Care Balm to gently clean and protect the material, preventing cracks and extending the life of the leather.
Dashboard and interior plastics cleaned and protected
We use Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care to clean, condition and protect plastic, vinyl, PVC and other interior surfaces. This provides a tough anti-static barrier that protects against moisture, dust, staining and fading. We avoiding using silicon where possible.
Compartments and pockets cleaned
We vacuum and clean all the nooks and crannies where dust and dirt is likely to accumulate.
Rubber seals treated
Using Vinyl & Rubber Care once again, we clean and protect all internal rubber seals to preserve the sponginess of the material and prevent seals from drying out and cracking.
Windows cleaned and polished (interior)
We will thoroughly clean your interior windows using a highly effective yet gentle formulation that provides a crystal clear finish, without leaving a wax or silicone residue.
Door sills and rims cleaned and polished
Along with carpets and mats, door sills and rims are often amongst the dirtiest areas of a vehicle, but they won't be once we're done cleaning and polishing. The application of a high-quality polish provides protection to the painted surface.
Dog hair removal (optional)
If you've selected the car dog hair removal optional extra, we will use our professional equipment to try remove all evidence that a dog has been travelling with you in the vehicle. This is a time-consuming process and requires us to spend more time working on your vehicle, hence an additional fee is necessary.
Air freshen
We will spray an odour neutraliser inside your vehicle and leave you with a complimentary Autoglym air freshener. We also offer a car odour removal service as an optional extra which is intended to tackle strong and persistent odours such as cigarette smoke.
Exterior
Pre-wash
The first step is a citrus pre-wash of the lower portion of your vehicle. This is a powerful yet safe way to remove accumulated dirt and grime, preparing it for the next stage of your valet.
Wheels
We use an acid-free wheel cleaning solution to strip brake dust and road grime from steel and alloy wheels. This is a non-corrosive formulation that unlike some acid-based alternatives, won't damage your wheels or brake components.
Snow foam
Our experienced technician will then apply a pH-neutral snow foam using a purpose-designed lance, removing traffic film and other deposits without damaging any protective coatings that may have been applied to your vehicle.
Contact wash
After rinsing off the snow foam we apply a high-quality shampoo to external surfaces, and then use an extra-soft lambswool wash mitt to thoroughly clean your vehicle using a two-bucket wash and rinse system. Clear coat and wax safe, our mitts are cleaned thoroughly or exchanged between appointments to ensure they are free of debris that could scratch paintwork. Brushes are not used at any stage in the valeting process.
Rinse
We then return to the lance, carrying out a thorough rinse of all surfaces to ensure that no potentially harmful cleaning chemicals are left sitting on your vehicle's surfaces.
Dry
A large, non-abrasive microfibre towel is used to dry the exterior of the vehicle, preparing it to be polished.
Tyre shine
Professional tyre dressing product is used to restore that showroom look to your tyre sidewalls.
Polish
To restore your vehicle's gloss finish we use a professional polishing pad to apply Autoglym Super Resin polish, a high-quality product and four-time winner of Detailing World's Polish of the Year award.
Wax (optional)
We offer an optional extra where we apply Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax to external painted surfaces. This luxurious wax finish not only provides a mirror shine, but also adds a durable layer that works to protect your vehicle from harmful road deposits.
Full Valet Plus
We offer an even deeper clean with our Full Valet Plus service, which includes all of the above but with attention also paid to the roof lining, engine bay and exhaust tips.
Despite not being a contact surface, a vehicle's roof lining or headliner can get surprisingly dirty. Causes of dirty roof lining include children touching the surface, dogs shaking muck around the interior of a vehicle and environmental dirt or smoke that will eventually discolour the material and cause lingering odours. We've known people try to tackle this themselves using soapy water and a sponge, but this can cause the liner to sag or become otherwise damaged. Here at Unique Valeting Services we use purpose-designed equipment and cleaning consumables to gently remove soiling and odours from the vinyl, leather or fabric material.
Safely cleaning a vehicle's engine bay can be a difficult and time-consuming task, but a clean engine bay not only looks great, it can also help you spot issues with your vehicle that otherwise might have been obscured by a coating of grease and grime.
Exhaust tips are also notorious for attracting road debris and dust (in addition to the exhaust soot that you'd expect). These deposits can be difficult to clean and may eventually cause damage to the stainless or chrome surface, so as part of our Full Valet Plus service we thoroughly clean and polish your vehicle's exhaust tips, which protects them from corrosion and ensures they look great.
How long does a full car valet take to complete?
A mobile full car valet will take around two and a half hours (Full Valet) or three hours (Full Valet Plus), depending on the size of your vehicle and whether we encounter dog hairs or any difficult-to-remove staining. Optional extras such as wax protection and tar removal add time to the length of the booking, of course, and can be selected when booking an appointment using our online booking system.
How much is a full car valet?
Full car valet prices reflect the time spent working on the car.
Our full valet prices start at £90 for a small-medium sized vehicle such as a hatchback or standard family saloon. Larger vehicles, such as SUVs, MPVs or estate cars, take longer to valet and as such are subject to a small additional fee. Vans and other commercial vehicles tend to require more work due to heavier soiling, so are also subject to an additional fee, as would any vehicle that is heavily soiled or requires dog hair removal. Any additional cost would be communicated to you and agreed prior to us beginning work so that there are no nasty surprises at the end of the appointment.
We also offer a range of optional extras, from paintwork tar removal and protective waxing through to convertible roof cleaning and conditioning.
Autoglym full car valet specialists
At Unique Valeting Services we are full car valet specialists who have undergone extensive training at the Autoglym Academy, and as such we are certified Autoglym Registered Operators using many of the premium quality products offered by Autoglym. We're also fully insured and take great care when carrying out work on our customers' vehicles. Much of the specialist equipment we use is designed specifically for professional car valeters and detailers, and when used correctly by a trained professional will only enhance your vehicle rather than cause any damage.
