What's included in a mobile car wash and polish
Our car wash valeting and polish service is 100% focused on improving and maintaining the appearance of the exterior of your vehicle, and provides us with the time we need to ensure a high-quality finish throughout.
Pre-wash
The first step is a citrus pre-wash of the lower portion of your vehicle. This is a powerful yet safe way to remove accumulated dirt and grime, preparing it for the next stage of your valet.
Wheels
We use an acid-free wheel cleaning solution to strip brake dust and road grime from steel and alloy wheels. This is a non-corrosive formulation that unlike some acid-based alternatives, won't damage your wheels or brake components.
Snow foam
Our experienced technician will then apply a pH-neutral snow foam using a purpose-designed lance, removing traffic film and other deposits without damaging any protective coatings that may have been applied to your vehicle.
Contact wash
After rinsing off the snow foam we apply a high-quality shampoo to external surfaces, and then use an extra-soft lambswool wash mitt to thoroughly clean your vehicle using a two-bucket wash and rinse system. Clear coat and wax safe, our mitts are cleaned thoroughly or exchanged between appointments to ensure they are free of debris that could scratch paintwork. Brushes are not used at any stage in the valeting process.
Rinse
We then return to the lance, carrying out a thorough rinse of all surfaces to ensure that no potentially harmful cleaning chemicals are left sitting on your vehicle's surfaces.
Dry
A large, non-abrasive microfibre towel is used to dry the exterior of the vehicle, preparing it to be polished.
Polish
To restore your vehicle's gloss finish we use a professional polishing pad to apply Autoglym Super Resin polish, a high-quality product and four-time winner of Detailing World's Polish of the Year award.
Wax (optional)
We offer an optional extra where we apply Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax to external painted surfaces. This luxurious wax finish not only provides a mirror shine, but also adds a durable layer that works to protect your vehicle from harmful road deposits.

Why it's important to wash your car
Your car's paintwork is exposed to various contaminants on a daily basis, not only when being driven on the road but also whilst parked.
Dirt, debris, bird droppings, insects, sap and road salt are just a few of the potentially damaging deposits that are likely to make contact with your vehicle. If these deposits are left sitting even for relatively short periods, they will begin to eat away at the clear coat or clear lacquer finish and even the paint layer underneath. This will compromise not only the physical appearance of your vehicle but potentially the bodywork, particularly in areas closest to the road surface.

Here in the North of England we tend to get a lot of rain, and road salt is used regularly during the winter months, so your car is more vulnerable to this sort of damage than perhaps cars owned by those living further south or indeed in the southern hemisphere. This doesn't mean you should relax in spring, however, as spring is when nesting birds, tree sap and insects become more problematic.
We will thoroughly wash your vehicle as part of our valet car wash and polish service, ensuring the removal of harmful deposits before they do any serious or lasting damage to the finish of your vehicle.
Why polish your vehicle
Once we've washed and dried your vehicle we will polish it with a high quality product from Autoglym, removing minor defects in the clear coat or lacquer surface.
Automotive polishes such as Autoglym's Super Resin Polish are mild abrasive compounds that are able to flatten out a vehicle's clear coat, which allows us to remove minor scratches, scuffs, swirls and other blemishes from your vehicle whilst also restoring its gloss finish. Polish applied improperly can in some cases do more damage than good, but our highly skilled, Autoglym-registered operators have many years' experience and can get your vehicle's paintwork looking as good as new.
Waxing to protect your vehicle's paintwork
Washing and polishing is essential to ensure the maintenance of your vehicle's paintwork and clear coat finish, but we also offer a waxing service using Autoglym's Carnauba-based Ultra High Definition Wax, which is designed to not only provide a deeper gloss finish but to also protect your paintwork from contaminants, including bird droppings, tree sap and road salt.
If you have any questions about this service or any of the other services we provide, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Our friendly team will be happy to help.
